November 3, 2014: LabVantage partners with United Way
In an effort to help those in need this holiday season, LabVantage will be collecting items for United Way’s Wrapped in Love winter apparel drive. This program serves to help struggling families in the central Jersey area get the warm clothes and accessories they will need to keep warm this winter.
United Way’s slogan “Live United,” stems from their mission statement: “United Way improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good.” United Way serves to improve education, assist with financial stability and promote healthy lives. LabVantage is proud to be supporting such a great cause. Please visit the United Way website for more information on this organization.
October 11, 2014: LabVantage takes on Tough Mudder
On October 11, 2014, members of Labvantage, from the Quality, IT, finance and Support departments formed a team to take on the Tough Mudder Tri-State 2014. This event is composed of a 10-12 mile obstacle course designed to test all-around strength, stamina, teamwork, and mental grit. Tough Mudder has been called the toughest event on the planet. Obstacles include climbing over walls, running up ramps, jumping over fire and fully submersing yourself in ice water.
Money raised from the Tough Mudder event goes to the Wounded Warrior Project. To date, Mudder Nation has raised over $6 million to support the transition of thousands of warriors returning home from the current military conflicts. Being a tough mudder means putting others before yourself, especially those who risk their lives for the safety and freedom of our country. Please visit the Tough Mudder website for more information.
