Proper training is essential to employee productivity, and hands-on training is the best way to learn how to maximize the use of SAPPHIRE. You may register online, or please feel free to contact the nearest training center for more information, including pricing and availability.
We are excited to offer a new approach to training. "SAPPHIRE Certification" is now an option. "Introduction to SAPPHIRE" and "Basic SAPPHIRE Administration" are the first in a series of certification classes that are currently available at this time.
Passing multiple course exams will allow you to become "SAPPHIRE Certified" in the Levels defined below (classes may be taken without choosing to take the certification exam):

An introduction to the fundamental administrative issues involved in developing, implementing and maintaining the SAPPHIRE environment. This course is primarily designed for those who will be involved with developing and/or maintaining the SAPPHIRE environment. Topics to be covered include: Adding Users and Roles, Creating and Extending SAPPHIRE Data Collection's (SDC), Creating Approval Types, Detection and Specification Limits, Workitems, Creating Parameters and Parameter Lists, Modifying the Site Map, Creating and modifying Maintenance and List Pages and adding them to the site map, adding actions and Javascript to buttons, creating queries and adding search criteria to pages. Students taking this course should have completed the "Introduction to SAPPHIRE" course or have prior database experience. All materials will be provided during the training.

| BO110 - Business Object Desktop Intelligence XI Release 2 Basic Reporting |

This class is a combination of instructor-led lecture, discussions, and demonstrations with a heavy emphasis on hands-on workshops to teach Desktop Intelligence XI R2 basic reporting concepts. Topics to be covered include data warehousing concepts, Desktop Intelligence data sources and providers, creating reports and charts, building queries, formatting techniques, using the Slice and Dice panel, sorting and filtering, creating drill-down reports, using new Find functionality, creating and applying alerters. This class is designed for both technical and non-technical business analysts working in a business environment who require access to information contained in a data warehouse to generate a variety of reports and graphs utilizing the Desktop Intelligence Basic Reporting tools.

This class is a combination of instructor-led lecture, discussions, and demonstrations with a heavy emphasis on hands-on workshops to teach Business Objects XI R2 basic Designer concepts. Topics to be covered include universe creation, creating database connections, joins, classes and objects, hierarchies, loop resolution, contexts, table aliases, aggregate awareness, viewing table keys, creating predefined conditions, restrictions, universe maintenance, and universe distribution/documentation. This class is designed for technical analysts who are required to create the Business Objects XI R2 semantic layer as an interface to the data in a data warehouse, data mart, or database.

This This five-day course provides a thorough understanding of SQL*LIMS Administration. It includes details about the different components of the SQL*LIMS Architecture including the Oracle database, Oracle Application Server, and SQL*LIMS Business Logic Server, in addition to providing instructions on how to administer, troubleshoot and maintain these different components. This course also includes information about the additional client administration tools including the Admin Tool, Remote Notification GUI, and the Archiver. It is designed for the Database Administrator, the SQL*LIMS Manager or team members who will be responsible for the setup, implementation, backups and maintenance of the SQL*LIMS v5 system.

| SQL*LIMS Advanced Topics |

This five-day course provides an in-depth understanding of the SQL*LIMS Data Model, in addition to exploring some of the more Advanced Features of SQL*LIMS. It is designed for the SQL*LIMS Manager and LIMS Implementation team members who will be responsible for writing queries against SQL*LIMS tables, creating reports and events, customizing the application, or writing code to interface with the system. At the end of this class, a student should be able to understand how data is stored and retrieved, create and install reports using Oracle Reports Builder, set up status actions, create intermediate and PL/SQL cross-task calculations, customize the SQL*LIMS interface, work with ASL, ARE, and TPL scripting languages, and understand how to use the PL/SQL Application Programming Interface (API) packages and procedures. Prerequisites: SQL*LIMS v4x or v5 Key Personnel.
