LabVantage™ Signs Software and Services Agreement with Unilever North America
Bridgewater, NJ February 20, 2002. LabVantage Sapphire™is selected by Unilever North America to support its Information Program

LabVantage Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of virtual laboratory solutions for LIMS and Scientific Information Productionsm (SIPsm) for discovery, announced today that Unilever North America has signed a software and services agreement for LabVantage Sapphire™. Unilever is ranked 54th in the Global Fortune 500 with 295,000 employees in almost 100 countries. Unilever will be using Sapphire™ to further automate and improve the dissemination of chemical analysis, stability study, microbiology, enzyme testing and bio-performance information.

Unilever Home & Personal Care's business drivers are to standardize various laboratory procedures and operations across their North American Research and Development organizations and to streamline reporting and information sharing processes with intelligent workflow automation. They also were searching for technology that could be deployed in a true browser/server environment from a single instance and still be flexible enough to meet the needs of multiple sites to minimize IT operating costs.
