| LabVantage Solutions to Host North American User Group Conference |

Bridgewater, NJ August 29, 2001. Conference to be held in Clearwater Beach, Florida, October 1-5, 2001
LabVantage Solutions, a company who is helping customers build the virtual laboratory and who leads the market in Scientific Information Productionsm will host its User Group meeting at the Radisson Sand Key resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida October 1-5, 2001. The User Group offers an opportunity for LabVantage customers to exchange ideas and preview new product releases.
The theme of this year's meeting is "The Power to Change" and focuses on helping LabVantage customers provide business benefit to their enterprise. Among the topics to be covered during the meeting are: The Road Ahead, Specifications and Automated Scheduling, Reporting, System Administration, Building Workflows, Understanding Architecture, The New Array Data Model for Drug Discovery and product-specific sessions. Customers scheduled to deliver papers include: Excel Corporation, Carpenter Technologies, Underwriters Laboratories, DuPont and Dakota Gasification. Industry expert, Randy C. Hice, president of the Laboratory Expertise Center is also scheduled to present.
