BUSINESS ANALYST US - Bridgewater, NJ

Develop and implement methods for capturing and documenting customer business requirements for system development, third party software integrations and external database interfaces. Conduct and facilitate customer site audits for information gathering. Outline design models for Sapphire databases. Collaborate with Solutions Engineers to implement and develop customer solutions. Prepare functional and technical documentation, testing and acceptance plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  Generate consulting revenue coupled with the requirements of ensuring that each system configuration is delivered with a high degree of quality and within the required timeframe.
  Developing and implementing appropriate methods for capturing and documenting customer business requirements for system development, third party software integrations and external database interfaces.
  Conducting and facilitating customer workshops for information gathering.
  Collaborating with Application Designer and Application Programmers to implement customer’s solutions.
  Preparation of functional requirements specification (FRS).
  Ensure that proposed FRS and corresponding design is line with the number of consulting days that have been ordered by the customer for this engagement.
  Collaborating with Project Management on project issues, concerns, schedules of deliveries and completion estimates.
  Provide day-to-day contact for the customer during the implementation.
  Orchestrate system reviews and gather feedback from the customer on required changes
  Provide input to the Project Manager on any change orders that may be requested by the customer
  Execute the Acceptance Test Plan (ATP) with the customer, and document all exceptions, and coordinate a resolution plan with the designer/application programmers.
  Work with the Project Manager to ensure that the developed configuration is handed off to the LabVantage support team.

Qualifications

  Must have BS/MS or equivalent in Engineering, Math, Comp Sci or rel field w/ relevant experience in above duties & programs.
  Ability to work amongst an assigned team consisting of, at a minimum, customer representatives, project manager and configuration designers and application programmers.
  Must be adept in at least: Oracle, SQL Server, PL\SQL, Java, JSP, Scripting, HTML to conduct duties.
  Excellent communication skills. Must be able to intelligently present and discuss ideas to customers and peers.
  Ability to travel at least 40%.
  Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  Ability to determine and document functional and technical requirements.
  Ability to facilitate knowledge transfers and develop implementation document for technical resources.
  Ability to dispel technical information down to a non-technical level
  Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

LabVantage is currently seeking a consultant to serve as our Customer Relationship Management and Telemarketing Specialist that will report to the Vice President, Corporate Development to identify, research, contact, and qualify potential customers in defined market and industry segments in North America, and secure appointments for follow-up by our global sales team. The position would also be responsible for managing LabVantage’s customer relationship management (CRM) system, including lead cleansing, assignments, and reporting.

Qualifications

  Experience in lead generation or telemarketing as it relates to software solutions. Experience qualifying VP or director-level contacts within Fortune 1000 companies is a plus. Specific knowledge of the laboratory or information management systems is also a plus.
  Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with great attention to detail.

MULTIMEDIA DESIGNER INTERN US - Bridgewater, NJ

The Graphic & Animation Designer Intern will be responsible for supporting both the sales and marketing department with the preparation of company print and online collateral. You will be working under the supervision of Coordinator, Marketing Communications and Multimedia. Aside from general design functions, the selected candidate will provide administrative assistance (IE- Contacting printers to submit jobs), both marketing and sales related. This is an unpaid internship.

This is an actual job experience with some training and guidance to expand your knowledge of the design world from concept to production. An ideal candidate will be well organized and energetic. He/she must be able to multitask and work under pressure. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience. So, positive attitude and high motivation is a must. Selection of candidate will be based on both individual integrity and skill sets.

By the end of your internship, you should have gained experience and knowledge on:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  Develop and implement communication programs to ensure expectations and deadlines are clearly understood from initiation through delivery.

Qualifications

  In depth knowledge of Microsoft Project. Project management experience to include project planning and initiation, risk management, critical success factors, project change control, issues management, status reporting, and post-project assessment.
  Must possess strong communication, documentation and organizational skills.
  Other desirable skills include: Client-Server application experience, Oracle and SQL Server administration, Database Design, domain knowledge of laboratory practices and experience in a programming environment.
  PMI Certification is also desirable.

SENIOR APPLICATIONS SCIENTIST US - Bridgewater, NJ

Provide direct technical support to the entire sales organization to ensure that prospective customer requirements are met. This includes product demonstrations (on-site, remote, and trade shows), conference calls, “red carpet” meetings, and other client meetings. Provide leadership and direction to the sales organization, marketing, and product development in the area of Life Sciences and its market direction(s). Provide a “bridge” between sales and professional services to help ensure a smooth transition for clients, after the sale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  Assist the TSS team in fulfilling qualified lab audits, demo requests (on-site and remote), and  pre-demo strategy sessions for both traditional and Life Science opportunities (with a focus on Life Science Opportunities).
  Document lab audit findings, Visio diagrams and contribution to SOW development required
  Create and maintain standard demonstrations for the Life Science market segments (i.e. Bio-Banking, Genomics)
  Continually enhance technical knowledge, so as to facilitate demo creation and maintenance, and interaction with prospective client IT organizations.  This should include any technology Sapphire utilizes, such as Java, JSP’s, Java Script, XML, Web Services, etc.
  Act as a liaison between Sales and Professional services to help ensure that the solution proposed during the 6 step sales process is the one delivered as a result of the Compass implementation process.
  Ability to deliver a compelling and clear demonstration to meet the needs (many times diverse) of the target audience, whether in person or via a web presentation tool (i.e. Arkadin; NetMeeting)
  Work with Account Managers in order to ensure that formal / informal, collaborative strategy discussions (follow “Sapphire Demo Strategy Outline” document) take place for all configured demos. Complete a “configured demo recap form” following each configured demo, detailing what was presented that differs from our “standard” configuration.
  Attend Life Science industry trade shows as needed in the capacity of an attendee, exhibitor, and / or presenter.
  Participate on internal product management teams acting as “customer advocate” and representative of sales.

Qualifications

  Strong Verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting high value software solutions to small to large groups.
  Educational and experiential background in the Life Sciences industry, to facilitate communication and understanding when interacting with prospective clients.
  Willing to travel to conduct lab audits, onsite demonstrations, and attend trade shows.
  Technical background and a desire to expand current technical knowledge in areas such as Java, Java Scripting, HTML, DHTML, and JSP’s.
  Knowledge and understanding of SQL, Databases, procedural programming, systems interface and integration, operating systems, networks, web applications, life science analysis and integration tools.
  Proficient in using Microsoft Windows and Office Suite software
  Bachelors of Science – minimum
  LIMS experience preferred.
