Gather, develop & document functional business requirements for LIMS customer projects. Transform lab users' requirements into functional requirements. Interface with lab scientists, analysts, researchers, configuration designers & applications programmers to ensure the functional requirements & solutions are properly transferred for LIMS configuration development using LABVANTAGE 6. Integration of laboratory instruments like PCR's, HLPC, GC etc. along with protocols such as HL7 and ASTM integration using either LIMSLINK or LV Connect tools. Lab process re-engineering & integration of LIMS with systems like SAP, Trackwise, PeopleSoft & Microsoft dynamics. Review LIMS implementation efforts/development. Interface with project management to ensure strong communication regarding issues, timelines & change requests. Must have a strong understanding of Biobanking, high throughput informatics, AQC/AQL & finished product Stability analysis.

Requirements

Req. BS (or equiv) in Biotechnology or a related fld & 5 yrs of experience in performing business analysis and/or process re-engineering in the laboratory informatics market including at least 3 years of experience in forensic evidence & case management; pharma drug testing; clinical trials & laboratory raw material management & testing. Position also requires at least 6 months of experience independently managing a LIMS project. Applicants must be willing to travel.

Experience in handling multiple projects, working with clients in understanding the requirement specs or in making a sales pitch, exposure to domain-specific trade shows etc. would be an added advantage.
